Our Club Events

Club Meetings

During the flying season we hold our club meetings at the Allinger Flying field (April through September).

During the winter months, SBRC usually meets at the River Park Branch of the St. Joseph County Public Library (October through March).  But this year (2026), we are going to try something new and have on-line meetings instead, attempting to get more attendance and avoid poor road conditions.  Be on the lookout for the meeting invitation via your email.  If you have any questions, please reach out to a board member.

Club meetings are always the 4th Thursday of each month, with the exception of November and December.  During November, we meet on the 3rd Thursday.  There is no meeting in December.

Night Fly

Our Annual

Night Fly

The Scott Thompson Annual Night Fly for 2026 will be held on September 12 at 5:00 PM.

This is where pilots from all around join us in the evening with airplanes lit up with LED lighting, and we fly after the sun sets. It’s a lot of fun, and we always have good participation, but we’d like to expand on it. So, if you’re an AMA member and want to join us for some night flying, then the annual Scott Thompson Night Fly hosted by SBRC is the event for you.
